National Games 2010

In June around the same time as the World Cup being held in South Africa. The Gambia saw its first Para-lympic Games held in the new Mini Stadium in Brikarma. 50 people with disabilities proudly took part in the first two day event. Paraplegics Basketball Game im Africa

Soma 2010

Soma 2010 Soma was the second region that we visited on our regional development trip up country. Soma is a rural area and the sports facilities are situated on the outside of the town in a field. The youth and sports co-ordinator in Soma was very active in finding new members and it was down to his enthusiasm that we were able to form a new Wheelchair Basketball team and regional Para-lympic committee. We were able to donate 10 wheelchairs and were able to give a training session on how to service the wheelchairs and a coaching session on how to build their regional team and ...

Back from The Gambia 2010

Farafenni 2010 We are back from The Gambia after a very successful trip, having given out 60 wheelchairs to the regions and worked with the teams there to enhance their training and knowledge.
